This past Sunday Night, the NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne made history.
TNA’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, Slammiversary, took place this past Sunday night. One of the major matches of the night was the Title for Title match. It was between the TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich and the NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.
Leading up to the match, Slamovich seemed to have the upper hand at all times. Even during the NXT before Slammiversary, the Knockouts Champion pinned Jayne, proving her dominance once again. But things did not go Slammovich’s way at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. Thanks to the continuous involvement of Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Jazmyne Nyx, Jayne picked up the win and became a double champion.
Jacy Jayne became the first WWE Superstar to hold a WWE and TNA title at the same time. It is to be noted that prior to Jayne achieving the milestone, she received a lot of criticism from fans claiming that she was a mere paper champion.
Recently, the NXT Women’s and TNA Knockouts Champion took to Twitter to share her thoughts on becoming a dual champion. She shared that she was honored to be in this position.
“What a life ? Grateful but more importantly, honored,” Jacy Jayne tweeted.

Jacy Jayne claims to have silenced her doubters
Jayne became the NXT Women’s Champion by defeating Stephanie Vaquer. Since then, she has successfully defended her title against some of the top stars, including the Juggernaut Jordynne Grace. Her championship retention against Grace was at the All Women’s Premium Live Event. Prior to the event, Jayne was being called as the ‘most beatable champion.’
Following her win at Evolution 2, Jayne mentioned that she has finally silenced her doubters.
“I’m on cloud nine. But as you can hear, I lost my voice tonight. Jordynne wants to elbow me in the throat and it doesn’t matter because I am still your NXT Women’s Champion. Everyone wants to say that I am the most beatable champion in history? But I think tonight I finally laid that to rest,” Jacy Jayne said.
MISSION. ACCOMPLISHED.
