This is probably the only way CM Punk and Drew McIntyre would show any love for each other.
A fan on Twitter/X named @TheBiLibrary recently acknowledged Pride Month by sharing a list of upcoming “bi4bi” books. One of those books is called Someone Like You. The cover is an illustration of two men embracing each other. They share a striking resemblance to CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. It’s probably a huge coincidence, right?
Not likely.
The author’s name is Kayla Faber. They might also go by the name “Kay Fabe.” The synopsis features other hints that it is inspired by the #Punkintyre dynamic. The two main characters are named Phil Hanson and Ian Galloway, for instance. CM Punk’s real name is Phil Brooks and Drew McIntyre’s real surname is Galloway. Similarly, “Hanson” is also probably a reference to Punk’s love for the 1977 Paul Newman film, Slap Shot. The Hanson Brothers are three of the players on the hockey team led by Newman’s Reggie Dunlop.
What is Someone Like You about?
“Phil Hanson landed in Scotland after a nasty burnout and a depression diagnosis forced him to take a step back from his hectic writer life. His finaceé Abigail, a native Glaswegian, is only too happy to return home after ten years in the States. But Phil has a hard time adjusting to his new life,” reads the official synopsis.
“That is, until he runs – quite literally – into lan Galloway, a mountain of a man whose witty humour is, if possible, even more charming than his impressive looks. From fake running buddies to true friends, Phil and lan begin to realise that the bond between them is getting harder and harder to dismiss as simple friendship. Someone Like You is a journey of healing, self-acceptance, and, above all, the proof that true love knows no bounds.”
Someone Like You is available on Amazon Kindle on June 27, 2025.
Drew McIntyre is off WWE TV right now. He is expected to miss some time to nurse some ongoing injuries. CM Punk will face John Cena for the WWE Championship at WWE Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
