Alberto Del Rio continues to find himself in the headlines ahead of his AAA Mega Championship defense this weekend against El Hijo del Vikingo.
This week on Venga La Alegria, a talk show that airs in Mexico, an angle for this weekend’s AAA match between Alberto Del Rio (El Patron) and El Hijo del Vikingo took place. In a fit of rage, Del Rio attacked Vikingo’s father and multiple members of the show’s production crew.
While some online had reported this as a shoot, this was 100% scripted and meant to build interest in his title defense against Vikingo this weekend.
You can check out a video of the incident in the embedded post below:

WWE has already spoiled the result of Del Rio’s match this weekend
While Alberto Del Rio’s title defense hasn’t happened yet, WWE has already spoiled the result.
Monday night during RAW, WWE advertised that the match between El Hijo del Vikingo and Chad Gable at Worlds Collide will be for the AAA Mega Championship.
This goes a long way in showing WWE’s lack of interest in working with Del Rio following their acquisition of AAA.
