Charlotte Flair reacts to positive fan reception at WWE Evolution 2.
On July 13, Charlotte Flair teamed with Alexa Bliss to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a fatal four-way tag team match. The Queen got a massive ovation from the crowd as soon as her music blasted through the speakers.
During a recent conversation with Sporting Tribune’s Arash Markazi, Charlotte shared her thoughts on the massive ovation she got from the WWE Universe at Evolution 2.
“I was blown away,” she said. Yeah, I literally… when they started chanting, ‘We want Charlotte,’ I did think to myself, ‘Y’all are chanting for me!’ I was like, ‘Don’t tear up on the apron. You have to run a comeback.’ The fans, they made my night, they made my year, they made me feel heard and seen. And I don’t know… it’s been a hard year, and my comeback didn’t happen the way I thought it would. Yeah, especially since all I thought about the whole time I was gone was returning. So to hear that ovation and feel the passion for me, it meant everything to me.”
Charlotte Flair says people forget she’s human
“I just think people forget that ‘The Queen’ is human—and that ‘The Queen’ has good days, bad days. And under all that armor, glitter, shine, and sparkle, there’s still this little girl that can’t believe she made it, that still works hard, that still wants to achieve goals and dreams. And it was just, I don’t know, I felt special. They really made me feel special that night as a performer.”
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam 2025. The match was made official after Charlotte defeated Raquel Rodriguez in singles action last week on SmackDown. Fans can check out everything that went down on the blue brand here.
