Dominik Mysterio honors Eddie Guerrero on Father’s Day in a bold and funny statement.
A few days ago, Dominik Mysterio paid tribute to Eddie Guerrero by sharing a photo at Guerrero’s grave with the Intercontinental Title. Now, he’s honored Eddie once again, this time with a touching Father’s Day message.
Dominik Mysterio marked Father’s Day by posting a photo of himself with Eddie Guerrero on Twitter/X. He captioned it, “Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there #GOAT”
Rather than acknowledging his real father, Rey Mysterio, Dom used the opportunity to reignite their ongoing rift. By referencing the infamous 2005 storyline between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero, Dominik took a clear jab at Rey, whom he has labeled a “deadbeat dad” in promos.
In 2005, Eddie Guerrero (storyline) revealed that he was Dominik’s biological father, which sparked an intense rivalry with Rey Mysterio. The feud escalated into a ladder match at SummerSlam, with Dominik Mysterio’s custody on the line. Rey Mysterio ultimately climbed the ladder and secured the win, retaining custody of his son.
Now, years later, Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio are at odds. Dirty Dom has taken yet another shot at the WWE Hall of Famer. After repeatedly calling Rey an “old” and “deadbeat dad,” Dominik chose to wish Eddie Guerrero a happy Father’s Day, further distancing himself from his real father.

Dominik Mysterio Says He Prefers Eddie Guerrero Over Rey Mysterio
Speaking to talkSPORT, Dominik Mysterio named Eddie Guerrero as his favorite over his Rey Mysterio and said he studied Eddie’s victories over Rey to learn how to beat him. “You know, I am a 20-year veteran in this business. I started in ‘05. I go back and watch that match all the time. You know, I go back and study Eddie Guerrero. He’s the best, if not the greatest of all time, in my personal opinion.” Dominik Mysterio said.
“So I study everything that he did to that deadbeat, and I try to mimic it. You know, I try to, because whenever I get the chance… his record against my dad, or my deadbeat, was pretty spectacular.”
When asked why he preferred Eddie Guerrero over his real father, Mysterio explained that he was nicer to him and gave him candy.
“He was nicer to me. He gave me candy and stuff, you know? As far as my deadbeat, he would just—he would bring me to work and put me up for… like, what was that lady? She was like, I don’t know, she took care of—like, she took me away from my family, basically. Terrible. Who does that? But I did get paid.”
