WWE has finally confirmed the name of a new tag team featuring Natalya and Maxxine Dupri.
The Queen of Harts has been mentoring Maxxine in the aftermath of Chad Gable’s unceremonious exit from the Alpha Academy. Both women were recorded putting Akira Tozawa through punishment as part of Maxxine’s training.
WWE recently kicked off marketing for Natalya and Maxxine Dupri’s new tag team by dropping a new “Dungeon Dolls” t-shirt. The name for this tag team was first reported by WrestleVotes Radio last week.
The name appears to be an homage to The Dungeon, the iconic gym and wrestling school set up by the Hart family patriarch, Stu Hart, in the Hart family basement. Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Lance Storm, and Roddy Piper are among the big names who trained at The Dungeon. Natalya also trains wrestlers at her own version of The Dungeon with her husband, TJ Wilson.
Here’s the official description for Dungeon Dolls, courtesy of WWEShop.com:
“Maxxine Dupri has sought Natalya’s guidance, hoping the 25-year veteran can help her be taken seriously when she steps foot in the ring. Show that you’re excited for a union that could only be described as beautiful bombshells by grabbing this Dungeon Dolls Superstars T-Shirt. One look at the stylized images of the tutor and student printed across this tee lets the WWE Universe know you’re eager to see their progress.”

Natalya and Maxxine Dupri worked as a team on WWE SmackDown
Natalya and Maxxine Dupri have yet to make their WWE RAW debut as a tag team. However, the pair worked a pre-WrestleMania edition of SmackDown. There, they partook in the Women’s Tag Team Championship number one contendership gauntlet on April 11.
Bayley and Lyra Valkyria would go on to win the match and solidify themselves as the contenders to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. However, the Role Model would be attacked before WrestleMania, prompting Adam Pearce to replace her with Becky Lynch.
The rest, as they say, is history.
