WWE is officially bringing back King and Queen of the Ring again.
During Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, the company revealed that the show would be coming back. Raw general manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis also were on hand for the announcement.
They revealed that tournaments for the show would begin next week, with the finals taking place on June 28, 2025, at WWE Night of Champions, which takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments would receive a respective championship match at WWE SummerSlam. To determine the finals, each brand will have two four-way matches, with superstars advancing. Semifinals for the tournament will also begin a cross-brand competition.
King and Queen of the Ring was last held last year, with its own official event also in Saudi Arabia. That show saw Gunther defeat Randy Orton in the King of the Ring tournament, while Nia Jax beat Lyra Valkyria in the Queen of the Ring final.
