WWE Superstar Nia Jax named the hardest-hitting opponent she has faced in the ring.
World Wrestling Kid recently released an interview with Jax that was recorded at the 2024 Royal Rumble. Jax said that she respects the toughness of the entire roster. However she considers Asuka the toughest opponent she’s faced. “All of them, Asuka is number one, though. Asuka has been one of my toughest [opponents].” [H/T: Fightful]
While Nia Jax mentioned Asuka as her toughest opponent. She delivered an incredible performance against Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown for the women’s title. During the match, Jax attempted to hit Stratton with a steel chair while distracting the referee, but her plan backfired. Stratton countered with a dropkick followed by the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, securing the victory. The dropkick left Jax busted wide open.
Nia Jax opens up about her long-running storyline with Tiffany Stratton
In 2024, Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton starred in one of the top storylines on WWE SmackDown. Their friendship faced growing after Stratton helped Jax win the Women’s Championship from Bayley. However, as the Money in the Bank holder, Stratton’s ambitions caused the strain between them to increase. The rivalry culminated earlier this year when Stratton cashed in her contract and took the title from her friend, Nia Jax.
Reflecting on her rivalry with Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax told TVInsider that she loved having a long-running storyline for fans to really sink their teeth into. “I love that. With our fanbase, they love the action and love watching a wrestling match, but they love sinking their teeth into a really good story. So, I’m honored that me and Tiffy have been able to portray a really good story the fans have loved. Obviously, she betrayed me, and I still have to get my lick back. I still have to get my title back, but I’m glad we were able to carry a story out beyond just a couple of weeks. It has been almost a whole year with what we were doing. I think that is what fans relate to.”
