One of the top stars in WWE is the former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea
Ripley. The Eradicator had suffered an injury in 2024 and was forced to relinquish her championship.
During a recent interview with Australia’s Channel 9, Rhea Ripley shared that 2024 was one of the worst years for her. She shared that the multiple injuries took a toll on her physically and mentally.
“When you get injured, you learn a lot about yourself and 2024 was not very kind to me,” the 28-year-old told Wide World of Sports. I did a grade-three AC sprain and then finally came back from that, which was so tough, not being able to do things that I love, like going to the gym or holding my dogs.
“It definitely was a mental struggle and also a physical struggle – training legs every single day was terrible, but I finally came back and I got to go for my world championship again and try and grab that back – but then I broke my orbital bone (eye socket). It was just injuries flying left and right, but I learned a lot about myself in that I can pretty much overcome whatever is in my way and that’s such a strong thing to realise,” Rhea Ripley said.
The Eradicator will be returning to her home country of Australia this October. On her birthday, October 11, the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event will be taking place in Perth, Australia.
