Kevin Nash has reacted to Bret Hart’s recent controversial claim suggesting Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon were lovers during the 1990s.
Last week, Bret Hart grabbed headlines when he revisited his ’90s backstage problems and took a surprising shot at Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon. Hart said his issues with them went beyond politics and even hinted they were romantically involved.
On the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash addressed Hart’s remarks. Nash, who spent years traveling with Michaels, dismissed the idea completely.
“I have no idea. I spent the better part of three years of my life with Shawn Michaels, and I never remember having a double knockout with Vince during any of our travel. The only time I saw Vince was when we were getting ready to strike in Indianapolis.”
Nash continued by explaining why Hart’s claim doesn’t make sense.
“Not only would we have known, but there is just no way he couldn’t have told anybody. There is no proof. That’s when one of those things where you tell a story and say, ‘I’m sure.’ No, you’re not. I think it’s in poor taste. I know they’re talking about the screwjob, but please, somebody get the **** over that.” [H/T: ewrestlingnews]
Kevin Nash isn’t the only legend pushing back. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross also reacted to Hart’s comments and shut them down immediately, calling them “That’s bullshit.”
