Killer Kross says WWE had major plans for him to face Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre after his return in 2022.
Killer Kross and Scarlett came back to WWE in August 2022. The segment saw Kross attacked McIntyre and then stared down Roman Reigns while giving his ‘Tick Tock’ gesture. Scarlett even placed an hourglass in front of The Bloodline.
Many fans believed this moment would eventually lead to Kross vs. Reigns for the WWE Undisputed title. However, it never happened or was mentioned again on WWE TV. Instead, Reigns went on to face Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Speaking on Scaredy Cast, Kross said he still wants to face Reigns and revealed that WWE actually had big plans for him at the time. He said one early idea was a triple threat match between himself, Reigns, and McIntyre.
“I would have liked to have paid off the match with Roman Reigns. I had heard a few different variations of what was supposed to happen with that. One of the variations was like a potential triple threat between me, Drew, and Roman when we first came back.”
However, creative plans changed quickly. Kross said someone else returned to the company and influenced creative decisions, which ‘killed’ the Reigns storyline. He said, “But somebody else came back to the company and got involved with creative shortly after us and completely killed that and then drove Drew off a cliff.” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]
