The road to WWE SummerSlam kicks off with SmackDown tonight in Texas. Set for tonight is a contract signing segment featuring John Cena and Cody Rhodes. Rhodes won the 2025 King of the Ring Tournament to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
Plus, Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton will begin their road to SummerSlam, where they are set to collide for the WWE Women’s Championship. Jade won the 2025 Queen of the Ring to earn a title shot. As for Tiffany, she successfully retained her title against Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at Evolution.
Elsewhere, the balance of power in the SmackDown tag division shifted after the Wyatts beat Street Profits for the WWE Tag Team Championship previously on the blue brand. Will Angelo and Dawkins run it back with the faction tonight?
