Last month, former AEW Women’s World Champion Blake Monroe shocked the wrestling world when she appeared for the very first time on NXT television. Since then, she has frequently appeared on NXT. However, she has not competed in a match on weekly TV yet.
This past Saturday, Blake Monroe made her official in-ring debut at NXT’s The Great American Bash Premium Live Event. It was the main event of the event. Monroe teamed up with Jordynne Grace to take on Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. The Glamour was also the one who picked up the win for her team. She pinned the NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.
Later in the weekend, Monroe cost Jordynne Grace the NXT Women’s Championship at the Evolution 2 Premium Live Event.
Last night on NXT TV, Jordynne Grace, after being backstabbed by Monroe at Evolution 2, came out and called out The Glamour. But what she got instead was a video package from her former tag team partner. In the video package, Blake Monroe claimed that she never liked the Juggernaut. She then revealed that next week in Houston, Texas, she will be making her official singles’ debut and invited Grace to come and watch the match so that the Juggernaut can have a front row view of why Monroe is better than her. It is to be noted that this match will also mark Monroe’s in-ring NXT TV debut.
Who will Blake Monroe face off with?
It was later revealed that Wren Sinclair will be the one wrestling Monroe in her singles debut. The Glamour took to Twitter to invite the entire family of Wren Sinclair to watch the match as it will be in her home state of Texas.
“since it’s your home state, bring your whole family pookie !! ??,” Blake Monroe tweeted.
