At Saturday Night’s Main Event, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther successfully retained his title against WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. Following that, on Monday Night Raw, a number one contender’s Gauntlet match took place to determine the Ring General’s challenger for SummerSlam. One of the contestants in the gauntlet match was Bron Breakker. He also had his Oracle Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed in his corner to make things a lot more easier for him.
Breakker was the one who kicked off the Gauntlet. He lasted up until the end thanks to some help from his faction member Bronson Reed. But the person who won the Gauntlet match was none other than CM Punk. He hit the GTS and pinned Bron Breakker. As a result, punched his ticket to SummerSlam. The Best in the World will wrestle Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
But unfortunately, the Empire’s plans did not come to fruition and things got from bad to worse as former WWE Undisputed Champion, the Original Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, made his return to WWE. The Tribal Chief was last seen on the Raw after WrestleMania 41. Reigns showed up and took out both Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Following the night, the Oracle, Paul Heyman, took to Twitter to send a message to the Tribal Chief and the WWE Universe. Heyman claimed that the Gauntlet was Bron Breakker’s to win. But since Reigns cost him the match and an opportunity at the WWE World Title, the Empire is going to nuke the OTC’s Island of Relevancy.
“Just landed home in New York. This was supposed to be @BronBreakkerWWE’s night. We are going to nuke the Island of Relevancy!” Paul Heyman tweeted.
