Naomi did it for The Rock.
Last night at the WWE Evolution 2 Premium Live Event, Mrs. Money in the Bank Naomi shocked the wrestling universe when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract and became the new WWE Women’s World Champion.
The main event of Evolution 2 was the WWE Women’s World Championship match. The champion IYO SKY put her title on the line against the former champion Rhea Ripley. Both stars put on a tough fight. SKY and Ripley had almost given everything they had in the match. Both stars were exhausted and were down on the mat. It was at this time that Naomi saw the perfect opportunity to cash in, and she did exactly that.
Mrs. Money in the Bank cashed in and made it a Triple Threat match. Naomi then took out both IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley. She then hit the Split-legged Moonsault on SKY and pinned her to become the new WWE Women’s World Champion. Following the match, a fan took to Twitter to vent his frustrations in a now-deleted tweet. The fan claimed that WWE had screwed IYO SKY.
“Damn… They did IYO dirty, to give another Fatu a title,” the fan wrote, alluding to the Bloodline/Fatu family’s recent title wins in WWE. “This sucks.”
Naomi noticed the tweet and replied by stating that all it took for the screwjob was a call to the Final Boss, The Rock.
“And all it took was for me to make one call to @TheRock ⚠️?hahahhahahhahahah,” Naomi tweeted.
Earlier in the night, Mrs. Money in the Bank had lost a hard-fought battle against Jade Cargill. It was a No Holds Barred match.
Now that Naomi is the new Women’s World Champion, it seems like she will be a part of the Raw Women’s Roster.
IYO SKY also reacted to Naomi’s cash in.
“UNBELIEVABLE. UNFORGETTABLE. And….UNEXPECTED. #WWEEvolution,” IYO SKY tweeted.
