On July 15th, 2025, Netflix is set to premiere WWE’s Unreal series. The show will focus on what happens in the Stamford-based promotion behind the scenes. Recently, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback and Hall of Famer Jim Ross shared their thoughts on the product.
Recently, Ryback praised the Unreal series. He shared that this will help fans and critics understand that professional wrestling is no different from movies.
“I truly believe WWE Unreal is one of the best things for wrestling and wrestlers… It’s time fans and dirt sheets stop the hate and understand what this is. It’s no different than movies,” Ryback said. [H/T WrestlingNews.co]
While speaking on a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross also appreciated Netflix and WWE’s Unreal series.

Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts had called the Unreal series a foolish move by WWE. He claims that the show will do more damage to the business than help it.
