Matt Cardona thanks Saudi fans for chanting his name on WWE Night of Champions post show.
Cardona’s name was heard on WWE TV for the second time in the past few weeks. The first time happened earlier this month when John Cena mentioned him during his pipe-bomb-style promo WWE SmackDown.
The most recent moment happened after the main event of the show, which saw John Cena retain his Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk. Following the show Jackie Redmond and Byron Saxton hosted the post-show and spoke with guests like Rhea Ripley, Solo Sikoa, and Triple H.
When Triple H showed up on the post-show, the Saudi Arabian fans got loud with their chants. Fans shouted things like “We love you,” “NXT,” “HBK,” “YEET,” “WrestleMania,” and “Thank you, Hunter.” In the middle of all that, some fans also chanted the name of former WWE star Matt Cardona. However, Triple H no-sold the chant and didn’t acknowledge it.
Matt Cardona, however, did acknowledge the moment and thanked the fans. He took to X. formerly known as Twitter, writing, “Thanks Saudi Arabia… I heard you.”
