Triple H briefly spoke about CM Punk’s history with Saudi Arabia following his performance at WWE Night of Champions.
WWE’s CCO was a guest on the Night of Champions post-show following the event. There, he spoke about Punk’s loss to Cena, which he confirmed would be the final bout between the two. He also brought up Punk’s apology to Saudi Arabia the day before, and just how far the superstar has grown.
“If you’d have told me 10 years ago that CM Punk would be here in Saudi for the WWE, I would have thought you’re out of your mind,” Triple H said (via Fightful). “But people grow, people change, people evolve, and they learn, and they learn a lot in life. Not only was I privileged to watch them this week as they prepared for this fight, I was privileged to watch two men grow as people, especially CM Punk.”
Triple H praised Punk’s growth as a human being. Specifically, his ability to apologize and see him cherish another moment in his career at Night of Champions. The two formerly feuding men have come a long way, and Triple H says he’s now proud of Punk.
“I was privileged to watch him grow as a human being, to step out here and apologize to the people of Saudi Arabia, to just cherish where he is at in life and his career and the things he gets to do and the opportunities that he has. I was incredibly proud of him,” he said during the WWE Night of Champions post-show.
