A new King and Queen of the Ring were crowned today at WWE Night of Champions that help set the stage for SummerSlam this August.
WWE Night of Champions kicked off this afternoon with the King of the Ring finals, which saw Cody Rhodes defeat Randy Orton. This is the second year in a row in which Orton lost in the finals of this tournament.

The victory for Rhodes means he will get his rematch with John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
Later in the event, the Queen of the Ring finals took place, which saw Jade Cargill defeat Asuka. This sets the stage for Cargill to challenge Tiffany Stratton at SummerSlam. But with Naomi looming with the Money in the Bank briefcase, things could change before we get there.
