Following tonight’s return of Goldberg, we have our first official match for the upcoming edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
During Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, Gunther made his way out to the ring. He planned on celebrating his newly won WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso, but was interrupted. Goldberg came down to the ring and promptly said he would finish the issue between the pair at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Issues between Goldberg and Gunther stem back to 2024, when Gunther called out the wrestling legend in front of his family. Shortly after their interaction, WWE confirmed the two would face off at the show for Gunther’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The next WWE Saturday’s Main Event will take place on July 12, 2025. The event is taking place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. So far, only one match has been announced, but more will likely be in the coming weeks.
