Goldberg is reportedly set to return on next week’s WWE RAW.
The next week’s episode of WWE RAW will take place at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. According to BodySlam.net, WWE has plans in place for Goldberg to appear on next week’s edition of WWE RAW. Speculation suggests he’s targeting the new World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther.
The report states, “Goldberg is reportedly planned to return next week on Monday Night Raw, guessing he will be coming for Gunther, as expected months back.” He has been actively preparing for his retirement match, and Gunther has been speculated to be his final opponent.
The rivalry between Goldberg and Gunther began last week at WWE Bad Blood, when Gunther took several personal shots at the Hall of Famer. Sitting at ringside, Goldberg had heard enough and tried to confront Gunther by jumping the barricade.
However, security quickly intervened and held him back. Since that intense moment, fans have widely speculated that The Ring General could be Goldberg’s final opponent. After Gunther captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on RAW this week by defeating Jey Uso, rumors intensified about Goldberg stepping up as his next challenger.
Reports also claim that WWE’s creative team has recently discussed his retirement angle. The tentative plan is to book the match in Atlanta. With WWE’s next Saturday Night Main Event scheduled in Atlanta on July 12, many believe the company could use that show to host this highly anticipated showdown.
Amid these reports, the WWE Hall of Famer also teased his return on Twitter/X. Goldberg shared a video of his in-ring highlights with the caption: ‘WHO’S NEXT?’
