Carmella and Naomi are money.
In 2017, Carmella made history as WWE’s first-ever Miss Money in the Bank winner. This moniker came with a bit of help from James Ellsworth, as well as ring gear with $100 bills printed on it. Carmella’s money-themed gear continued, as she wore it in many of her subsequent Money in The Bank premium live event appearances.
Carmella’s WWE career came to an end in 2025. However, the theme was kept alive at this year’s MITB event thanks to her former tag team partner, Naomi. Naomi confirmed her Carmella-inspired attire on Twitter/X, writing “[Carmella] coded” alongside a photo of herself in her money-filled ring gear and jacket. The WWE SmackDown star can also be seen holding the Women’s Money the Bank briefcase, which she claimed by outmaneuvering Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and Stephanie Vaquer. (Catch up on everything that went down at this year’s Money In The Bank event in Los Angeles here.)

“Congrats sis!!! was rooting for you!!” Carmella (real name Leah Van Dale) replied to Naomi alongside a series of money-mouth emojis. While Carmella is no longer in WWE, Naomi subsequently attested that she and her “influence will always be money, honey.”

In the early months of 2019, Carmella and Naomi joined forces to pursue the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. They faced the inaugural titleholders, Sasha Banks and Bayley, at that year’s Elimination Chamber event. The pairing of Naomi and Carmella eventually split up. The duo last sharing the ring at WrestleMania 38 in four-way match for the women’s tag titles.
Naomi also celebrated her big win in grand fashion on Monday night, joining her husband, Jimmy Uso, for a night out.
