Could Jakara Jackson be the next free agent to “cross the line” and join TNA?
NXT’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend appeared in TNA as challengers to the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Titles. Jackson competed there three times, including a four-way title match at TNA Rebellion. She reflected on the chance to be part of the WWE/TNA crossover, praising some of the creativity and freedom that experience afforded her.
“It was cool. All I knew was the [WWE] PC life. I did not come from the indies beforehand, so to be going there and just to see a different side of wrestling, it was awesome and it was cool,” she explained. “I appreciated the freedom, I loved the creativity we could put into it. That’s fun to me. That makes wrestling fun. Not to say I was having fun in WWE, but it’s just so much more hands-on. I love that and I need that. I feel like that’s where I’m going to thrive. So that’s one of the things about this new chapter I’m super excited about is the freedom to do whatever.”
Is Jakara Jackson interested in signing with TNA?
“Most certainly [I’m interested in going back to TNA]. I don’t want to put too much out there, but they’re most certainly a lot of things in the works,” she explained. “I don’t want to reveal until it’s time to, but I definitely have my eyes on TNA. I would love to go to Japan. Definitely wherever I can thrive, that’s where I want to be.”
When asked about specific competitors she hopes to work for, Jackson named two current AEW/ROH stars, as well as a few new free agents like herself.
“There’s so many. Athena would be amazing to go up against. She’s a beast. Willow [Nightingale] would be so fun. Indi [Hartwell]. Elayna Black. Maya World, I’d love to. Those are just a few for sure that I’d love to get in the ring with.”
As far as her other goals, the former Jakara Jackson wants to focus on building her brand as Mara Sadè. She has an interest in acting, but also wants to use her platform for good causes too.
“I want to be a voice. People don’t know this about me, but I really am a very big advocate for domestic violence. I want to do charity and help with that,” she noted. “I want to start my own business. There’s so many things that I want to dabble in that I’m so excited for this chapter because like I said, the sky’s the limit at this point.”
