Jesse Ventura isn’t afraid to speak his mind on commentary during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WWE Hall of Famer Jesse “The Body” Ventura once again joined Michael Cole and Pat McAfee at the broadcast table for the steel cage match between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest.
Ventura was the talk of social media during the bout for his takes during and after the match. Including burying Priest for walking out the door of the steel cage to win the match instead of climbing over it or winning via pinfall or submission. So, how did WWE feel about Ventura’s unique brand of commentary last night?
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Ventura was supposed to “lay out” during Lilian Garcia’s ring introductions last night. And we all know how that worked out.
Regarding his commentary towards Priest following the match’s conclusion, Sapp reports that there were a lot of laughs backstage over his comments about how wrestlers should win a steel cage match.
