A seemingly innocent segment on WWE RAW ended up being a historic moment for one of the people involved.
During this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Sami Zayn teamed with Jey Uso against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Sami and Jey won via DQ after Seth Rollins appeared to take out the World Heavyweight Champion with a curb stomp on the outside.
Rollins and his henchmen then jumped Sami before flattening him on the table. The chaos continued until CM Punk arrived to clear the ring. WWE ran a backstage angle after the match to show Zayn being medically evaluated.
What’s the identity of the woman who played Sami Zayn’s trainer on WWE RAW?
The woman shown during the segment is a professional wrestler who goes by the name of Alejandra “La Leona” Quintanilla. She reposted a photo from the segment that showed her tending to Sami Zayn. As Lucha Libre Online pointed out, La Leona is also the first female Salvadoran wrestler to appear on WWE RAW.
“Wow!!!! Made history last night!!!
“FIRST EVER Female Salvadoran Wrestler to appear on @WWE,” she wrote on X.
Alejandra’s X bio shows she was born in El Salvador, and is the first woman from the Central American country to compete for AEW, ROH, MLW, and CMLL. She’s a former two-time RCW Phoenix Champion and the reigning RCW Women’s Champion.
