Matt Hardy recently revealed that Bray Wyatt once pitched joining House Hardy to the WWE legend.
In a recent post on X reacting to a fan reacting to fanart of Matt, Jeff, and Bray that Matt shared. After a fan brought up the idea of Bray being adopted into the Hardy family, Matt revealed that was actually what Wyatt wanted.
“Coincidently, that’s exactly what we wanted to do,” said Hardy. “Bray had an amazing story laid out which he had lost all of his family & wanted to earn his way into joining the House Hardy family. It was super creative & wildly entertaining.”
Specifically, Hardy mentioned that Wyatt pitched joining The House of Hardy after their “The Ultimate Deletion” match in 2018. This isn’t the first time that Hardy has brought up potentially forming a stable with Wyatt before, either.
In 2023, Hardy mentioned that there was a pitch to create a stable. However, Hardy felt like he was being used as a hook, and backed out. Fans were expectedly not too happy to hear about the pair never working together. Throughout his career, Hardy and his brother, Jeff, were known for larger-than-life personas, something that Wyatt was also known for.
