Just like the Bloodline on the main roster, on NXT, the D’Angelo Family was the dominant family on Tuesday Nights. At one point, the family had the NXT UK Heritage Cup and the NXT World Tag Team Championships. But after NXT Stand & Deliver 2025, the family started to fall apart. Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo turned on Tony D’Angelo. At NXT Battleground, this past Sunday, it seemed like Luca Crusifino also had left the former NXT North American Champion.
Crusifino was away from NXT for several weeks. It was assumed that Channing Lorenzo had taken him out. The Consigliere made his return to NXT Television at the Battleground Premium Live Event during the match between Stacks and D’Angelo. He showed up and just stared at D’Angelo as Stacks hit a low blow and pinned the Don of NXT. Crusifino didn’t speak a word at the event.
Last night on NXT, Crusifino sat down with Tony D’Angelo to try and explain his actions. But D’Angelo did not trust his Crusifino.
Now, Luca Crusifino took to Twitter to finally explain his absence.
“I didn’t disappear because I was disloyal, I disappeared because staying would’ve put everyone at risk. I did what I had to do to protect the Family. Not once have I betrayed this life. Not Tony. Not the Family. But being gone … it tore me up. I couldn’t take it anymore. I came back because I needed Tony to see I was still here. Still loyal. I didn’t show up to interfere, I showed up because I couldn’t stay silent any longer. But don’t mistake timing for betrayal. My loyalty never left,” Luca Crusifino tweeted.
