Cody Rhodes is back, and he wants John Cena in the ring very soon.
During the end to tonight’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Rhodes appeared during a chaotic match between Jey Uso and Logan Paul for Uso’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Uso looked primed to win, but Cena appeared late and threw the ref out of the ring, then began attacking Uso.
Rhodes’ music hit, and before the crowd could even react, the star was running down and into the ring. He made the save and threw Cena out, which allowed Uso to get the upper hand and retain his title in a win against Paul.
After the match, Rhodes promptly took to the microphone. He said the Cena farewell tour has entered “Rhodes country,” and he wants revenge. Rhodes then challenged Cena and Paul to a tag team match against he and Uso at Money in the Bank.
The appearance was Rhodes’ first since his loss to Cena at WrestleMania 41. It’s unclear how much he’ll appear going forward, however. WWE’s Money in the Bank will take place on June 7, 2025, from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
