The next major NXT Premium Live Event is this Sunday. It is the NXT Battleground Premium Live Event. The show will be taking place live from Tampa, Florida. Prior to last night’s episode of NXT, there were four matches announced. Now, two more major matches have been added.
Last night on NXT, former NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan wrestled Zaria to earn a shot at the title. Kelani’s best moves were all countered by Zaria. At one point, Jordan hit a cheap shot on the current champion, Sol Ruca. In retaliation, Ruca climbed up the apron. Accidentally, Zaria speared her friend allowing Kelani Jordan to capitalize. She rolled up Zaria to get the pinfall victory.
As a result, Jordan has earned herself a shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship. This match will be taking place at this Sunday’s NXT Battleground Premium Live Event.

What else will take place at NXT Battleground?
Also, following a brawl between The Culling, Josh Briggs, and the NXT World Tag Team Champions, Hank and Tank, a six-person tag team match has been announced for Battleground. The Culling will take on the team of Josh Briggs, Hank, and Tank.

Adding to these two matches, three major titles are set to be defended at Battleground. The NXT World Title Match will be on the line in the match between the champion Oba Femi and the challenger Myles Borne. Stephanie Vaquer will also be defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace. For the first time ever, the TNA World Title will be defended on an NXT PLE. Joe Hendry will put his title on the line against Trick Williams.
Also, Tony D’Angelo will finally get the opportunity to get some retribution against Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo.
