Who sang the backup vocals with Shawn Michaels on his WWE entrance theme, “Sexy Boy”?
The Heartbreak Kid has one of the most iconic WWE entrance themes of all time. The first version was sung by Sensational Sherri, while the follow-up was performed by Michaels himself. But who provided the backup vocals to the Michaels’ sung theme?
WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart recently appeared on WWE Vault to reveal his top five entrance themes. While discussing the “Sexy Boy” theme that clocked in at number one, Hart revealed that he was the one singing the female-sounding backups on Shawn Michaels’ entrance theme.
“Shawn loved the song, Shawn sang the song. We did two versions of it,” Jimmy Hart said. One originally by Sherri singing it. But when she took a hiatus from the company for a while, Shawn would sing it. Now, we didn’t have our girl singers, so I’m the one singing backup, going sexy boy. But we doubled it five times, so it made it sound like three or four girls going sexy boy.”
Bet you wouldn’t have ever guessed that, right?
