Three European stars seem bound for WWE.
In late March, WWE hosted an international tryout, with talents from all across European invited to take part. Now, we have an idea of the tryout results.
According to Cultaholic, WWE are on the verge of signing Aigle Blanc and Mike D Vecchio following the tryout, which emanated from the WWE Performance Center in the United Kingdom. Blanc, a 11-year veteran, hails from France and has notably work in wXw and PROGRESS. Most recently, he wrestled in All Japan Pro Wrestling. Mike D Vecchio, a native of Belgium, is a 12-year veteran with experience in promotions such as wXw, RevPro, and PROGRESS. Vecchio teamed with Blanc in their pursuit of the All Asia Tag Team Championships at AJPW. Both men are also reportedly expected to start with WWE by September 2025.
In addition to Blanc and Vecchio, Fight Factory’s Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion Zozaya will sign with WWE as well, per Fightful Select. Zozaya has experience in wXw,
Lucha Libre Rebellion, Pro-Wrestling NOAH and other indie promotions. All three contracts are reportedly being handled by James Amner.
One more talent from the UK tryout is expected to join WWE in the coming months too, though their identity has not been disclosed.
Recently, the company signed three former Olympians as well as former IWGP Tag Team Champion Jeff Cobb. Cobb is now known as JC Mateo, with the SmackDown brand as his home.
