Finn Balor has acted increasingly strange since Dominik Mysterio pinned him at WrestleMania 41 for the WWE Intercontinental title.
At WWE Backlash this past weekend, The Judgment Day rushed to assist Dominik Mysterio during his match. However, Finn Balor late to attack Penta, which allowed the referee to catch him. As a result, the referee ejected Balor, Carlito, and McDonagh from ringside. Despite this, Mysterio retained the title thanks to help from El Grande Americano.
Unlike other members of The Judgment Day, Finn Balor seems less eager to support Dominik Mysterio. The Intercontinental Champion recently discussed Balor’s recent odd behavior on The Babyface Podcast.
“Finn, I don’t want to say he’s been acting a little bit funny. I just think he has been in his feelings, you know? When it comes to, like, we were both on a big losing streak, right? We had a little incident at WrestleMania where I might have pinned him, I don’t really remember. I had just gotten Mexican Destroyer, so my head was a little bit foggy. I just saw a body down there, so when I jumped in front, I thought it was Bron Breaker, I had no idea it was Finn. So he might have been a little upset about that, but I think he got over it once he realized that, like, you know, Gold in the Judgment Day is good for all.”
“You know, Finn’s always been there for me. I’ve always said he’s been the dad that stepped up. Before I even turned on my deadbeat dad, I was tagging with Finn Balor overseas, you know, being, big baby face. I have pictures of me in a bright red and green outfit and Finn in his trunks still, like, we’re doing his whole, you know like, Finn’s been there for me the whole time. So, like, he’s my dude, and I don’t know where his head’s at.”
Dominik Mysterio says the Judgment Day finds strength again with JD McDoangh’s return
“As far as JD goes, it is so good to have him back. You know, we had been struggling as far as, like, with muscle and numbers, just ’cause, you know, there’s only so much that Liv and Raquel could do. God, everyone knows there’s only so much Carly can do. But, like, and I say that with love ’cause, you know, Carly’s also one of those guys that keeps the Judgment Day solid and keeps us, he’s like the secret glue that keeps us all together, you know? But JD definitely just, it was nice to finally have everyone home. You know, it’s like everyone has been gone and doing their own thing, but, like, it was nice to finally have everyone back home in the clubhouse”
