The Miz vs. Aleister Black
After taking out The Miz with a Black Mass last week on SmackDown, Aleister Black will go one-on-one with the A-Lister in the former’s first WWE match in five years. Black last competed in a WWE ring in December 2020, when he lost to Kevin Owens in a No DQ match.
Randy Orton to appear
Randy Orton has dropped John Cena with an RKO on two consecutive occasions. The Viper took his longtime rival by surprise with an RKO on the RAW after WrestleMania. Cena got the upper hand the following week on SmackDown, only to get hit by an RKO out of nowhere. What will Orton have to say to the WWE Universe just a week before he challenges Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of Backlash 2025?
WWE SmackDown predictions
- WWE’s tag team division received a major boost with the arrival of Fraxiom last week on SmackDown. Nathan Frazer and Axiom defeated Berto and Garza in their first match as a tag team on the blue brand. Fans can expect some the former NXT Tag Team Champions to get involved in some major storylines down the line.
- Zelina Vega pulled off a huge upset by beating Chelsea Green for the WWE Women’s United States Championship last week. Whether Chelsea invokes her rematch clause or not remains to be seen after what she posted on X last week.
- Jacob Fatu flattened both Damian Priest and LA Knight with his moonsault finisher last week on SmackDown. The Samoan Werewolf might have to defend his title in a multi-man match soon after what went down last week.
- Nia Jax returned to jump Tiffany Stratton last week. Jax dropped the WWE Women’s Championship to Stratton on the first SmackDown of 2025. Fans can expect some sort of confrontation leading to a rematch between the two friends-turned-rivals.
