After his breakup, NXT star Ashante is looking for a romance storyline involving former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley.
Ashante and Karmen Petrovic had been part of a romantic storyline for several months. However, this week on WWE NXT, Petrovic lost to NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca in a non-title match.
After Karmen Petrovic’s defeat, she attacked Ashante with a kick, marking the end of their relationship. Bayley, who recently spoke on Insights with Chris Van Vliet, revealed that she has done everything WWE has asked of her. She expressed her desire to prove she can handle any role the company gives her, including participating in a romance storyline.
After the apparent breakup with Karmen Petrovic, Ashante took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to reach out to Bayley. Referring to her recent comments, he wrote, “Hey @itsBayleyWWE, I heard you are looking for romance.”
While the role model has yet to respond to Ashante’s proposal, it will also be interesting to see how Karmen Petrovic responds to Ashante moving on quickly after what appears to be their breakup.
Bayley isn’t sure why she’s left off of WWE ads, says there’s no heat backstage
Bayley recently mentioned she has no issues with WWE’s management or Talent Relations. However, she is still unsure why she’s not featured on Premium Live Event posters. “I don’t get on the press conferences, I don’t get on the posters. I don’t get to do the talk shows. I’m not sure what else to do. And it’s not like [there’s an issue], there’s no heat backstage or anything like that. Hunter and I have a really good relationship. Bruce and I have a really good relationship, all the TR, I have such a good relationship with them, and I’ve always been professional.”
She also mentioned Triple H praising her during one of the Premium Live Event posters post-show press conferences. “Even when I’ve gone to other shows to support my friends. We’ve had those conversations of like, the do’s and the don’ts, and that was a little too much. We’ve had those conversations, so I think we’re at a real respect level. Hunter has gone on a press conference being like, Bayley’s this, Bayley’s this, she’s everything that you could possibly want out of a superstar, which I appreciate. But it’s like alright, well what do I need to do to get me there?”
