One of the veterans of the professional wrestling business is the Queen of Harts, Natalya. Although she has not been seen on WWE TV for a while, she has been active outside the realm of WWE. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion recently made a special appearance at GCW’s Bloodsport Special Event. She wrestled and defeated Japanese star Miyu Yamashita.
During a recent interview with the Toronto Sun, Natalya shared that The Chief Content Officer Triple H does not owe her anything. She also mentioned that it is easier for her to rather than tell the WWE Creative what she is capable of, she would rather show them.
“The division is more competitive than it’s ever been. So, I understand, to be honest, Triple H doesn’t owe me anything. Triple H doesn’t owe me a storyline, he doesn’t owe me a phone call, he doesn’t owe me a text, he doesn’t owe me an email, he doesn’t owe me a single thing. Even going back to Kenzie, none of us are entitled to anything. Everything that we have, we need to fight for, we need to work for, we need to pitch, we need to —.
“When I look at Bray Wyatt and think about the best stuff that Bray ever did, a lot of it was the stuff that Bray came up with from his own imagination. Sometimes it’s hard to say, ‘Hey WWE writers, hey Triple H, I have this idea.’ It’s easier sometimes to just show them. I think with Triple H being, I think it’s very well known to everybody, he is a creative genius. So, you see some of the greatest entrances of all time have been attributed to Triple H.
“Some of these incredible storylines and character development, a lot of them, including Bray’s, when Bray started to really evolve, Triple h was a big part of helping him realize his full potential. Do they owe me anything? No.” [H/T Fightful]
Why is Natalya competing at Bloodsport?
During the same interview, Natalya shared the reason why she chose wrestled at Bloodsport.
“That’s why for the first time ever, I’ve been allowed to step outside of WWE to really show the company, I want more, I’m going to work for me, and I’m going to work for more, and I’m going to fight for more. I’m not just talking about it, I’m actually doing it. I am not just saying, ‘Oh, let me wrestle on Bloodsport because I really want a match.’ I’m saying, let me show you. I’m not going to tell you, let me show you.
“Let me give you the performance of a lifetime when I am 18 years deep in my career and I am sleeping in silk sheets driving a beautiful car, living in a beautiful home, and surrounded by Persian cats. I could be complacent, I could be lazy, I could be entitled, I could be spoiled, but I choose to train a ring with no air conditioning. I choose to train people on my days off.” [H/T Fightful]
Natalya’s luxury is having her own personal wrestling ring to train
The Queen of Harts also shared that she enjoys training at the dungeon and she find it her greatest luxury.
“I train myself. I love the dungeon, it’s my greatest luxury to have that, to have my own ring. For me, my message has always been, let me show you, let me work for it. I love fighting for something, I do my best work fighting for my life. That’s why these shows, NWA, and that’s why Bloodsport was so important to me and I’m asking Triple H to do more outside shows because I’m not expecting Triple H to include me in the women’s division. He doesn’t owe that to me, the company doesn’t owe that to me. But I’m going to show him, I’m going to earn my way back into the women’s division. That’s what I’m doing, I’m putting my money where my mouth is,” Natalya said. [H/T Fightful]
