In the realm of professional wrestling, it is very common for a group of wrestlers to join forces to form a faction and then break up a few months later. On some occasions, the wrestlers leave one group to join another. But very rarely does the same faction change its name. That is what has happened with the AEW faction House of Black. The name of the group has been changed to the Hounds of Hell. The main reason for the change is because Malakai Black, now known as Aleister Black in WWE, had left the promotion. One of the members and former AEW World Trios Champion Brody King recently shared the difference between the Hounds of Hell and House of Black.
Brody King was recently interviewed by Phil Lindsey of Grapsody. During the interview, King mentioned that the Hounds of Hell faction is based more on reality, and they are more human compared to the House of Black. King also shared that the Hounds of Hell is the most authentic version of himself.
“House of Black ended pretty, kind of suddenly, I guess. Unfortunately. I had a great time doing House of Black. Nothing but respect for those guys, they are my brothers forever. Now, we’re onto Hounds of Hell and I feel that’s more the most authentic version of myself. I feel I’m breeding my band God’s Hate with wrestling more. What you see is what you get and that’s kind of the person I am outside of wrestling as well. It’s more based in reality. We’re more human, if you will. You can see a different side of myself, Julia, and Buddy that was kind of more in the smoke and mystique of House of Black,” Brody King said. [H/T Fightful]
