What does Gunther think about having to wrestle Pat McAfee next month at WWE Backlash?
Last week on WWE RAW, the former World Heavyweight Champion attacked Michael Cole and Pat McAfee for their commentary during his match with Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41.
The Ring General was later fined and indefinitely suspended by RAW General Manager Adam Pearce.
Last night on RAW, McAfee cut an impassioned speech about what went down between him, Cole, and Gunther and called out Nick Aldis to lift the suspension of his attacker. Aldis said he wouldn’t lift the suspension but would give McAfee a match with him at Backlash. An offer that McAfee quickly accepted.
Gunther caught word of the announcement earlier this morning and took to social media to reply to the matchup, tweeting out two emojis alongside the Backlash graphic:
“*Crying laughing emoji* *Dead emoji*,” Gunther said in a post.
Here is the currently announced card for WWE Backlash:
- Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton
- World Heavyweight Championship: Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul
- Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch
- Gunther vs. Pat McAfee
