AJ Styles has a greater appreciation for wrestling fans and the “pandemic era” they all faced together.
One of the most difficult eras in life was the pandemic era. Even during the toughest of times, professional wrestling was running to help entertain the wrestling fans. One of the iconic matches during the pandemic era is the Boneyard match between the Phenomenal AJ Styles and The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36.
Recently, while speaking to fans during a meet and greet at WrestleMania’s Fanatics Fest, AJ Styles reflected on the Boneyard match. He shared that seeing the chemistry both he and The Deadman had made him wish the two had wrestled inside the squared circle to see what magic the two could have provided.
“[We started filming at around] 8:30[PM] maybe. And got done at 4 o’clock in the morning. So, it wasn’t that we had to do something over and over again, that wasn’t the case at all. But cameras had to move over and over again. I’ll say this about The Undertaker, we never had to redo a shot or anything like that. There was something about his timing and my timing and it was perfect. We didn’t really have to talk about it a lot. It was just what we did. And it makes me wish I would have had an opportunity to be in the ring with him to see how that could have turned out.”

AJ Styles also spoke about how the moment between him and the Undertaker became an infamous meme.
“They send it [The iconic Undertaker meme] to (me). My friends send it to me. ‘Me playing video games when my dad catches me at 2 o’clock in the morning.’ You know? That’s the one I get the most. But it was very iconic man. And you know what?”
AJ Styles thanks fans for all their support
During the same segment, the Phenomenal One thanked the fans for their immense support from the Pandemic Era till today.
“I’ll say this to you fans. We had no idea… I don’t speak for everybody. But we may have taken you guys for granted. Because you, when you weren’t there, it sucked. And so, having you guys back, being in front of you, I don’t know if you can tell the energy just when you finally came back and we were there for you. And you guys were there for us, how much energy we had, it was amazing. It was a life blessing. And so, thank you guys for being amazing fans. Because I don’t know that we could do it without you. And that’s the honest truth,” AJ Styles said.
