Plenty of people are still trying to make sense of why The Rock didn’t appear in the closing minutes of WWE WrestleMania 41.
While The Rock has tried to play up his absence by stating he felt he wasn’t needed following what went down at Elimination Chamber, very few people are buying that. But now a WWE Hall of Famer has chimed in with their theory as to why Dwayne Johnson was a no-show at the Showcase of the Immortals earlier this month.
On the latest episode of Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer spoke about The Rock not appearing at WrestleMania 41 and chalked it up to his availability to film a movie with Martin Scorsese.
“Rock couldn’t show up because Rock was filming a f*cking Scorsese film,” Kevin Nash said. “The last time Rock f*cking showed up, right before Hercules, he tore his f*cking bone off his pelvis and cost production $10 million.
“No, Rock can say whatever he wants, ‘I didn’t want to f*ck up Cena’s moment,’ he didn’t have the option. Scorsese was not going to let him. F*ck off. No. I think they’re shooting in Hawaii. I might be wrong, but put it this way, if they’re not shooting, they’re definitely in pre-(production). Whoever is insuring that note ain’t gonna let Rock bounce around the ring.” [H/T: Fightful]
