La nuit dernière lors du live event de Smackdown à Vancouver, Rusev a fait son retour dans le ring après plusieurs mois d’inaction. Il a participé à un Triple Threat Match avec Sami Zayn et Kevin Owens pour le United States Championship.
Lors de ce même live event à Vancouver, Seth Rollins a fait une apparition surprise, et a défié Jinder Mahal pour le WWE Championship. Une surprise en effet puisque Seth Rollins est de Raw alors que ce live event était exclusif à Smackdown. The King Slayer a d’ailleurs battu Mahal par disqualification après l’intervention des Singh Brothers, l’indien a donc conservé sa ceinture.
