It appears we have some positive news as it pertains to Kevin Owens‘ neck injury that took place earlier this year.
The former WWE Universal Champion was pulled from a match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41 due to a serious neck injury. Since then, details have been far and few between as Owens was weighing his options before having surgery.
We now have a promising update in regards to KO’s current injury status.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Kevin Owens underwent successful neck surgery on July 18.
Due to the timing of the surgery, it’s all but guaranteed that Owens will miss WrestleMania 42 next year. Typical recovery time for a surgery of this magnitude is around one year. While a potential return at next week’s SummerSlam is possible, it’s far from a guarantee.
