Kurt Angle is hoping someone recorded a rare match with Owen Hart.
One of the legends in professional wrestling is the Olympic Gold Medalist, Kurt Angle. The wrestling world has had the privilege to witness some of his greatest wrestling matches in history. But now, the WWE Hall of Famer is seeking footage of one of his earliest matches.
Recently, the multiple-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion took to X/Twitter to ask the wrestling world if they could find the footage of his match against the late great Owen Hart. Angle revealed that he had wrestled Owen Hart in a Dark match during his WWE run back in 1999. Angle also mentioned that this match had taken place five days before the unfortunate passing of Hart.
“In 1999 I had the privilege of wrestling the legendary Owen Hart in a dark match in the WWE 5 days before his unfortunate death. Til this day, I haven’t seen video footage of it. If anyone has ever seen the footage of my match with Owen, message me in the comments below. Someone had to record it. #itstrue,” Kurt Angle tweeted.

The popular ‘On This Day in WWE’ Twitter account had responded to Kurt Angle with a snap of a message from the WWE Vault. The account shared that unfortunately, WWE Vault has not been able to find footage of the match between Owen Hart and the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. According to Cagematch, the only match the pair had was a dark match at the May 10, 1999 episode of WWF Shotgun Saturday Night. That episode aired on May 22, one day before Hart’s tragic in-ring accident at WWF Over The Edge.
