Nikki Bella was scheduled to appear on WWE RAW, but the company scrapped the plans at the last minute.
Nikki Bella returned to the company for the first time last week on WWE RAW, where Liv Morgan attacked her and left her laid out in the ring. After the segment, she addressed the moment on Instagram and assured fans she would return to WWE RAW this week. However, she never appeared on this Monday’s episode.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer mentioned that Nikki Bella was backstage at this past Monday on WWE RAW. However, after Morgan suffered an unfortunate shoulder dislocation, WWE decided to scrap the planned segment involving Bella.
“Nikki Bella was there and she was going to do a run in the Liv Morgan Kairi Sane match to help set up, you know, this next part of the angle. But they decided for whatever reason, I guess because they just everything was a panic at that point. And they probably didn’t put her out on a promo because it’s like, well, if she’s OK, what do you mean? What do you say? So that’s why she was not on the show, even though she’d been advertised all week. She was there.” [H/T: Inside the Ropes]
Morgan’s injury has already led to several changes in her schedule. She was originally set to appear at this weekend’s Fanatics Fest, but it have announced that she will no longer be attending. Regarding her injury, reports suggest she will likely need surgery. While that hasn’t been officially confirmed, she’s expected to be out of action for several months.
