One of the most heartbreaking news this past week was the departure of R-Truth from WWE. Sheamus recently shared his thoughts on the departure of the former 24/7 Champion.
Recently, Sheamus was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show. During the interview, the Celtic Warrior shared his thoughts on R-Truth’s departure. He also reflected on the time both stars were on the road together, competing in Dark Matches.
“Sometimes people don’t know. Look, from our perspective, what we do, it’s entertaining the fans and people like, I’m sure in NFL, fans see the players in interviews and everything. They see what he does in the field. But from our perspective, what we do, the fans get to know who that person is and get to fall in love with that character and the personality. For Truth, for example, he’s one of the most beloved because he is one of the most entertaining. I had my first Dark Match against him when I came up. And that ’07 or ’08. Joining in I was ’07.
“I came up on the road for Dark in ’08. R-Truth had just come back after he was with the company. He went to TNA and he came back again. So, we had a Dark Match together on the road. From then we bonded. So, that fella walking into the dressing room, and it’s just laughs. He has this contagious laugh that just lights up the room. But you don’t… There’s no way of knowing man. You just got to go out there and do what you can. Sometimes you can’t tell when that time is.”
Carlito’s WWE contract also came to an end this weekend.
Sheamus is convinced R-Truth will return to WWE in the future
The Celtic Warrior is convinced that eventually Truth will make his way back to the WWE.
“Yeah. It’s not the end. So many people, so many guys and girls have left and come back. It’s not the end. Sometimes it’s bit of a break. And there’s no way Truth is not going to come back at some stage. I’m sure you’ll see him again. Same with Carlito. Carlito was gone for a while, he came back and… It’s not the end. If you truly want to find your way back, you’ll find your way back,” Sheamus said.
Pat McAfee also took to Twitter to share a clip of his podcast. In the clip, not only did Sheamus share his thoughts, McAfee also shared his love for both R-Truth and Carlito.
