Bully Ray wants John Cena to take credit for R-Truth getting fired by WWE.
The pro wrestling world is struggling to get over Truth’s departure from WWE. Truth (aka Ron Killings) announced his exit from the company this past weekend, revealing the company was not going to renew his contract.
The announcement triggered a wave of reaction on social media, with fans and peers expressing their shock and disappointment. John Cena, whom Truth faced in what turned out to be his send-off match, also reacted to the high-profile release.
During a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray pitched a notorious angle involving John Cena, noting it could give credibility to Cena’s attempt to ruin wrestling for everyone.

“At the press conference a couple of weeks ago, before Cena put truth through the table, he said, you know, ‘Ron, I’ve never liked you,’ Bully said. “If this whole true thing is legit and he’s getting [let go] and they’re not renewing his contract, or as he says, released. I put John Cena on TV with a microphone in his hand and I say, and he says I never liked Ron Killings.
“‘Ron Killings was released because of me. I’m ruining it. I said I was going to ruin wrestling. I’m ruining it for you fans. You loved this guy. I know you love this guy. I called The Rock. The Rock released Ron Killings. End of story. You want you got a problem with it? Write a letter.”
For those unaware, John Cena turned heel and aligned with The Rock at Elimination Chamber 2025. The pair, alongside Travis Scott, destroyed Cody Rhodes at the PLE. While The Fina Boss didn’t appear at WrestleMania, Cena did defeat Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship after Scott’s interfered to cause a distraction for the American Nightmare.
