Damian Priest recently achieved a new milestone outside of the ring.
The Archer of Infamy joined an elite list of celebrities in joining the Bronx Walk of Fame. Damian Priest grew up in Castle Hill and Parkchester, in the Borough of Bronx, New York City.
Damian Priest was interviewed by CBS News before the unveiling of his Walk of Fame. He mentioned that he always wanted his name to live forever. And being in the Bronx Walk of Fame, he feels like he has achieved his goal.
“I’ve said it since I started in the WWE. I just want my name to live forever. I just want to do something and do things that people remember me by. And getting this honor, it’s kind of like, ‘Wait, did I just achieve that?’ You know?”
Priest also took a stroll down memory lane at City Island.
“My dad would bring me here [City Island] all the time. And order a lot of fried shrimp. That was my favorite food as a kid.”
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion also reflected on what was the most important thing for him growing up.
“We didn’t have much, but we didn’t need much. We just needed family and love. And our community. When it comes to having a dream, nobody is gonna work for your dream but yourself. And you gotta be honest with yourself and work as hard as you can to achieve what you want,” Damian Priest said.
