Lyra Valkyria was supposed to team with Bayley at WrestleMania 41, but it didn’t turn out that way.
A backstage attack on Bayley before the show, which was later revealed to be by Becky Lynch, sidelined Bayley from competing on WWE’s biggest show of the year.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria was a recent guest on My Mom’s Basement. When asked who she has good chemistry with in WWE, Valkyria spoke about her natural connection with Bayley and how having a WrestleMania moment this year at her expense is very upsetting to her.
“Especially since I’ve come to Raw, I feel like I’ve had this natural connection with Bayley outside of the ring, and it kind of just manifested inside the ring. We really really clicked,” Lyra Vakyria said. “Having my Mania moment coming as an expense to her, that was genuinely very upsetting. Bayley, since I’ve come to Raw, has been a massive help and she actually is everything that I thought Becky would be. It’s a very big change to see her out at the moment.” [H/T: Fightful]
Lyra Valkyria will defend the Women’s Intercontinental Championship this weekend against Becky Lynch at Backlash.
