Le mois dernier suite à la polémique et son renvoi de la WWE, Rich Swann avait annoncé prendre sa retraite des rings. Une retraite vite annulée puisqu’il a fait son retour samedi soir à la CZW lors du show Best of the Best 17, où il a fait une apparition surprise et a participé au tournoi.

Malgré cette surprise, Swann a perdu en quart de finale face à Joe Gacy (vainqueur du match), Joey Janela et Brandon Kirk. Le tournoi a finalement été remporté par David Starr.
