Charlotte Flair excels under pressure.
“I think just the pressure of always being in the title picture. Like for me, I think of the character, everyone’s always like [complaining about], ‘She’s always in the title picture, she’s always in the title picture.’ But that means [I] lost 13 times and came back 14 times,” Charlotte Flair explained. “[Talk about] the pressure that it takes to have that intensity. I think when people face Charlotte, there’s always a big match feel.”
“I really want people to focus [on that taking] so much consistency and dedication, and just the passion I have for the business overall. Instead of a negative, it’s [try to] see the consistency and the determination to want to be on top,” she continued. “Whether people like that or not, but you want to see your fav beat me. But also, just the opportunities I’ve had. Since the first pay-per-view, the first main event on WrestleMania that was on one night, the resume that I’ve had with so many different women. So many good things, I hope.”
Charlotte Flair also reminded everyone why she got into pro wrestling
Charlotte Flair also reminded everyone that she got into the pro wrestling business for her late brother, Reid, not her father.
“I didn’t get into wrestling for my dad, it was for my little brother,” Charlotte noted. “And I think people kinda forget that. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. And I feel like the pressures of being my dad’s daughter and not his son, people don’t really realize that it’s a mixed blessing. I have a massive chip on my shoulder, but also, having that opportunity to be ‘Flair’s kid.’ It’s just so many different facets.”
