Former WWE Superstar Shotzi Blackheart recently hit back at a fan who labeled her “injury prone” after her departure from company.
Shotzi, who had been with the company for six years, officially exited earlier this month when her contract expired. Her departure also brought an end to her on-screen alliance with WWE NXT Superstars Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T had nothing but praise for Shotzi following her release. Reflecting on her time in the company, he called her she was always one of the hardest workers. Despite Booker’s supportive remarks, one fan responded with a critical take.
The fan criticized Shotzi Blackheart by suggesting she was injury prone and implying that her release might be a positive opportunity for her to pursue motherhood. Blackheart didn’t stay silent. She clapped back strongly, dismissing the idea that she was injury prone. She also criticized fans for misusing the term to appear knowledgeable.
Blackheart wrote, “Injury prone” is a term that you wanna be smart marks overuse to sound smart. 100% of the wrestlers you are calling injury prone are not, they are just human.”
How did Booker T react to Shotzi Blackheart’s WWE departure?
Speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T expressed admiration for Shotzi Blackheart and her work ethic. He said, “I like Shotzi. She was like one of the hardest workers. I got a chance to work with her on Tough Enough as well. I mean, that’s where I first met Shotzi. She got cut on Tough Enough, and then she went out there on the independent scene and she really worked her butt off, and she created that gimmick, right? And she even created the tank and all of that stuff. And then when she got the WWE, they freaking built her like a huge tank to come out in, you know? There was just such a cool freaking look, a cool vibe. I definitely hate seeing her get cut, because she works so damn hard to get there. She really did.”
“I mean, she didn’t get the easy route in. She didn’t get the contract right out of Tough Enough or anything like that. She had to go out there and grind and grind and grind and create something. And when stuff don’t work out for you, of course, it’s heartbreaking, but I think Shotzi is going to just keep going, man, because she’s a worker bee.” [H/T: 411mania]
